Kiri Allan's exit from politics has prompted calls to "do better" on mental health but how realistic is that in an environment described as highly stressful and combative?

Tautoko Mary ... I pay towards local news on-line content as it is so important, BUT I really object to my $$ supporting some of the coverage of these tragedies, beyond what we "need to know". It is totally possible to report facts without licking your lips & giving unnecessary salacious nitty gritty details that aren't anyone's business (apart from the jury or the judge, or the PM, or someone's therapist etc.) It doesn't help anything, and arguably does harm to others who are struggling when they see how things are sensationalised & treated as click bait by media, and a football by politicians if it suits them.
