This would have been more useful if you had put in the effect of National's policies to those rankings. Without that comparison we don't know how effective the Labour policies are, whether they are good or just so-so!
Hi Alastair, at this stage National’s policy is based on Willis’ bill which maintains the status quo on the amount of paid leave (26 weeks) but allows a splitting of the current 26 weeks between parents. https://www.national.org.nz/flexible_use_of_paid_parental_leave Because each scenario would be different for every single set of parents, it’s quite tricky to split between the primary and secondary allocations.
